Learn what it’s like to be a firefighter. All participants will learn how to use fire hoses, fire extinguishers, connect to hydrants, wear self contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), and much more. The FUN enrichment program designed to promote fitness and well being for young children. Each week brings new adventures in fitness and nutrition, while reinforcing the importance of good hygiene. Our program is tailored to meet the recommended physical activity for preschool aged children according to the American Academy Of Pediatrics. Our basic weekly program consists of warm up activities, floor exercises with creative use of equipment, aerobic activity for a happy heart, stretching for our growing muscles, and a safe and fun cool down routine. Our themes include: Beach Day, Jungle Safari, Olympic Sports, Nature Hike, Outer Space, and lots more... Kids need STRETCH-N-GROW to learn good physical health!
ARC BABYSITTER TRAINING

Just in time for summer sitting, the American Red Cross Babysitting class offers in-depth information, training and skill development needed to provide safe and responsible care for children in the absence of parents/guardians. The course covers good decision and babysitting business practices, basic care skills (bottles, feeding, diapers, dressing and rest), think safety, basic first aid, and safe play. Each student receives a Babysitting book and worksheet handbook. Students should bring a lunch and snack. Class size limited to 15.

CAR SEAT SAFETY CLASS

Fact: 98% of car seats in Bucks County are used incorrectly, could yours be one of them? Learn the most up to date information about child passenger safety. A certified car seat technician will provide basic information for parents about proper car seat use. Space: The Next Mission

A newly developed and more advanced Space program than our original! In this program we will investigate unique flying machines - building balloon-copters, boomerangs and a mini hovercraft as take home projects. After flying machines, children will investigate how early “pilots” navigated, including building their own sextant and sundial. Finally they will put all the learned skills together to build an intermediate level Estes™ Skywinder rocket. If your child enjoyed our first space camp, or are Astro“nuts” in general, they will love this new space program

Blood, Brains & Bones – The Human Body!
Date: Mon-Fri, Aug. 4-8

In this week long camp, children will have fun while learning about the scientific equipment they already own - the human body. Kids will explore the science behind cells, organs, muscles and bones through fun, hands-on activities. Campers will use microslide viewers to see some of the body’s tiny cellular machines. Fun experiments help campers understand more about their senses, brains, breathing, circulation and digestion. Children will create model cells, make Mad Mucus & a simulated stomach, build simple stethoscopes & lung models, assemble a model skeleton and much more.

Parks & Recreation has teamed up with Urbanek's Driving School to offer this valuable program. In the 30-hour on-line theory program, students will cover the Pennsylvania driver's manual and all phases of defensive driving. Completion of 30-hr theory course and 6-hours of on-the-road driving instruction may make the beginning driver eligible for reduced insurance rates. Students do not need a permit or license to begin this theory course (minimum age:15). Urbanek's Driving School is State approved through the Dept. of Education. IRISH STEP DANCE LESSONS
Congratulations to the Gibson School of Irish Dance for their performance at the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Philadelphia. They were awarded the Maureen McDade McGroary Award, given to an Outstanding Children's Irish Dance Group Exemplifying the Spirit of Irish Culture through Traditional Dance. Meallagh Naidheachd! Gibson School of Irish Dance will begin new sessions in the fall.
