In January 2001, the Township received 243 acres of property at NAWC from the Department of the Interior as a public benefit transfer to the Township. We matched a $30,000 grant received from the Department of Conservation & Natural Resources (DCNR) Keystone grant program to hire consultants to complete the Master Site Plan. In August of this year, after reviewing proposals from 10 different firms, the Township contracted with Schoor DePalma to assist us with the completion of a Master Site Plan for this new park. Issues to be considered in the plan include storm water management, utilization of existing facilities, preservation of ecological habitat, designation of areas for passive, active, and self-directed recreation, as well as phased development and funding strategies. The call for volunteers went out, and residents of the community have come forward to serve on the Master Site Plan Study Group. Since this process is just getting underway, look for more detailed updates in future recreation directories as we move forward with a community vision for this park. Thank you to all of the organizations who have provided proposals for facilities and programs - all items are still under consideration. Several public meetings will be held throughout the next nine months for community input. Residents are free to make public comment regarding the development of this parcel, in writing via mail, or e-mail (recreation@warminstertownship.org). Access to the property by the community will be limited until the Township develops initial or temporary facilities and the master site plan is completed and approved by the Department of the Interior.

The detailed maps* provided include the overall site map of the NAWC property located in Warminster Township. It is broken into several parcels - the park land, Erickson Retirement Community and a proposed business campus.
The enlarged map details the Erickson Retirement Community, the business campus and the proposed park road, trails, parking and detention ponds surrounding the development.
