CERAMICS

Explore the fundamentals of ceramics; qualities and property of clay to include basic forming and hand building techniques; introduction to the potter’s wheel, glazing and decorating techniques and clay sculptures.  Instructor: Gary McGrath

KNIT A MITT – NEW!

Easy project to create mittens by introducing multi-color designs in Fair Isle style.  Knitter should know the basic stitches to knit, purl, cast on & cast off.  Bring to class one set (4) double-pointed needles, size 8, and a skein of knitting worsted.

Enhance drawing and painting ability in acrylic and pastel. Composition, color theory, and technique developed at all levels in a supportive atmosphere. Traditional and non-traditional personal approaches encouraged through group and individual discussions and demonstrations. Landscapes and figure work will be possible. Class includes all materials needed and demonstrations.

Instructor Ruth Herman Cohen has led art classes for adults for over 25 years for the Archdiocese, Arcadia University, Temple University and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
