Sponsor An Event

Thank you for your interest in Special Event and Park Development sponsorship with Warminster Township Parks & Recreation Department. Below is a brief description of our sponsorship opportunities. Please feel free to call us if you require additional information: 215-443-5428.

Basket Bingo:  is held in February in the Five Ponds Golf Club – It’s a wine & cheese basket bingo.  Longaberger baskets are offered as prizes instead of the usual 50-50 or money prizes.  Sponsorship funds cover the cost of baskets, as well as bingo supplies.  Proceeds from this event go toward development of the new 243-acre Warminster Community Park.   Sponsorship: $50-500

Easter Egg Scramble: takes place the Thursday before Good Friday, 4:30 PM in the afternoon.  Children, ages 3-10, are invited to gather up as many eggs as possible.  We separate the children by age group and distribute approximately 6-8,000 eggs each year.  Between 300 & 400 children usually participate in this free event.  Sponsorship funds are needed to purchase eggs, candy, and prizes.  Sponsorship: $700-1,000.   Current event sponsor:  Fulton Bank

Community Park Pickup: Residents volunteer to pick up parks and public areas as part of the Earth Day - Penn DoT “Keep PA Beautiful” program in late April.  Penn DoT provides vests and trash bags but we’d like to feed volunteers if possible.  Sponsorship: $250-500.

Bark Park Grand Opening & Puppy Promenade:  The Grand Opening of our much awaited Bark Park at Warminster Community Park will be held on Sat, April 17 from 10 AM to 1 PM.  Local pet rescues, pet supply and care providers have been invited to join us for this event.  Participants can take a walk to support the Bark Park and Bucks County SPCA during the Puppy Promenade (starts at 10:30 AM).  Participants will be able to get County Dog licenses, register pets for Bark Park membership and take home doggy treat bags.  Sponsorship opportunities: $500-1500.   No event sponsor yet.

Bark Park Development Sponsorships:  continuous funding opportunities to fund park amenities for our furry friends; agility training pieces, benches, more trees, etc.  $250-4000.

Rubber Ducky Regatta: Going into our 15th year!   From January to May, duck tickets which correspond to numbered plastic ducks are sold at various locations throughout the Township.  On the third Sunday in May, all of the plastic numbered ducks are placed in the Neshaminy Creek in Kemper Park and float approximately 1/4 mile to the finish line.  The first four ducks that cross the finish line win cash prizes totaling $500.00.  Following the event, we have a half-hour of family games and prizes - all duck related.  Rita’s Water Ice donates dessert for our family picnic.  Sponsorship funds are needed to cover the cost of the prizes, food, and additional ducks.  Sponsorship: $500-1,000   Current Sponsors: Beneficial Bank & Rita’s Water Ice.

Send A Kid to Camp: Our summer scholarship program allows children who may not be able to afford it, the opportunity to go to our 7-week playground/teen camp program or to other activity (sports and arts) camps offered by the Department.  We have various fundraisers throughout the year for this cause and try never to turn anyone in need away.  Due to confidentiality, this is a very low-profile sponsorship.  Typically we provide $5,000-8,000 in scholarships each year.  Sponsorship: $125/child for activity camps (1 week); $550 for summer camp (7 weeks)

Summer Concert Series: The Township offers a free Wednesday evening concert series to our residents.  Each year we offer a variety of music - symphony, barbershop, big band, Irish music, country western, children’s concert and folk/pop concerts from June through August.  Grant funding from PA Council on the Arts, which has supported this program for the past 20 years, is no longer available due to State budget cuts, so we are seeking business sponsorship for each concert or the whole series.  Sponsorship available for a single concert or the entire series:  $450-5500

Warminster Skate Spot: Opened in July of 2007, the Warminster Skate Spot is a free bmx/rollerblade/skateboard park for children of this community.  Funds are constantly being raised to purchase new equipment.  An Advertising/Equipment sponsorship is available for $500-$15,000.

Fall Golf Outing: 2010 will be our 13th year for our Fall Scholarship Golf Outing.  Each year, the event is a "shotgun" held on Columbus Day at Five Ponds Golf Club.  We seek an underwriting sponsor for this event ($2000) and then pick up additional tee and green sponsors as well ($100).  Proceeds from this event go to our children’s’ scholarship program.

Warminster Community Theater:  At least twice each year, we offer family entertainment (children and adult theater) to our residents.  Sponsorship usually comes in the form of ads in our playbill or as an underwriting sponsor.  Proceeds go into theater type capital improvements – curtains, lighting, sound.  Usually there is a production by an outside touring company such as the Walnut Street Theater and our popular children’s theater performances (July).  This year, the children will be performing “Aladdin”.  Sponsorship: $375-800

Halloween Magic Show:  Society of Young Magicians hosts a benefit performance for the WREC to raise $$ for stage improvements.  A family event, we usually provide snacks and need sponsorship $$ to cover prizes, candy, etc.  Sponsorship: $100-300

Touch A Truck: A popular family event at Warminster Community Park held the last Saturday in October or first Sat in November.  Last year over 600 people attended and it was COLD!  Touch A Truck allows children of all ages to view, climb on and experience some of the large trucks, fire engines and municipal utility vehicles they see on the road every day – up close and personal!   Sponsorship opportunities:  Event sponsor ($750).  Call for more information.  Current Sponsors: J. P. Mascaro and Sons

Park Development:  The Township is currently developing a “gift catalog” for future park development of the municipal parks.  Since receiving the 243-acre Warminster Community Park in 2001, we have received numerous grants to complete a Master Site Plan and have begun preliminary development of park facilities.  Play apparatus, benches, trees, are always needed.  Current sponsorship ranges from $300-300,000.

Warminster Beautification:  In 2000, Warminster kicked off a Township-wide beautification program to enhance the entry ways to this community.  Gardens, banners, roadside landscaping and street tree planting as well as improvements to Township facilities are all part of this program.  Sponsorship: $500-15,000

Friend of Warminster Parks:  a newly-established 501-C-3 organization raising funds to improve the parks, enhance the environment and bring awareness of park programs and facilities to the Township residents.  Their first fundraising activity is a Beef & Beer on March 27 to raise money for all new entry signs in the parks.

Other activities sponsored by the Department vary from year to year and may  include the Spring Slush Road Rallye, Heaviest Tomato contest, Butterfly Garden, Memorial Day Parade, Ed Jefferies Award for Community Service, Perennials for Parks, and Tree Memorials.  In the past, we have also held a Valentine’s Family Brunch, a Turkey Trot Road Rallye, Park Pedal Push, and Halloween 10K but the public response to these events in recent years has been declining (rallye & run) or expenses have increased making the event cost prohibitive (brunch).

Please contact us if you have any questions about sponsoring an event with the Parks & Recreation Department. If there is something that is not on our list, but would like to try, give us a call, we are always willing to put on our creative hats.

We look forward to hearing from you.
