Take sunny summer weather, mix in four weeks of fun, crafts, and games, add your 3-5 year-old, and what do you have? The recipe for Camp Weewancha! Camp Weewancha is a four-week morning camp for pre-school children. Held at the WREC, it is a great way to prepare your child for pre-school or keep him/her in an organized program when pre-school has ended. At Camp Weewancha we play hard, sing songs, do arts and crafts, read stories, and have fun! Each week of Camp Weewancha has a different theme, and crafts, stories, snacks, songs, etc., revolve around that theme. This summer, we will take one trip. Camp Weewancha’s director is a certified teacher.
Because the two sessions are identical, campers should register for only one session. Registered campers will be invited to attend an open house before their camp session begins. Campers must be 3 years old and completely potty trained before camp begins.** If your child is registered in an Early Intervention program and you would like him/her to participate in Camp Weewancha, please contact the Parks & Recreation office at (215) 443-5428**. Campers who are 5 and have attended Kindergarten have “graduated” to our Playground Program.
