Warminster Township Bark Park’s Mission Statement:
To create a fenced-in, off-leash bark park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or local wildlife. To develop a beautiful and well-maintained space open to dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and regulations. To view the park as a community project in Warminster Township, designed to satisfy the needs of dog owners and non-dog owners alike. To promote education,training and recreational activities that facilitate responsible dog ownership and better-behaved dogs.

Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement Officials to Canvass Bucks County
Licenses, Vaccinations Help Keep Pets Safe, Healthy

Harrisburg – The Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement will canvass Bucks County from May 23rd – 27th, as part of its efforts to ensure Pennsylvania’s dogs are licensed, vaccinated and safe.

State law requires that all dogs three months of age and older be licensed by Jan. 1 of each year.  The fee is $6.45 for each spayed or neutered dog and $8.45 for other dogs.  Senior citizens and persons with disabilities may purchase a license for $4.45 for spayed and neutered dogs and $6.45 for other dogs.  “Person With a Disability”  is defined as a “Person who receives disability insurance or Supplemental security income for the aged, blind or disabled under the Social Security Act (49 Stat. 620, 42 U.S. C. 301 et seq.) or who receives a rent or property tax rebate under the Act of March 11, 1971 (P.L. 104, No.3) known as the “Senior Citizens Rebate and Assistance Act,” on account of Disability; who has a disability certificate issued by the U.S. Veterans Administration; or who has a (handicapped license) special registration plate under 75 PA. C.S. 1338 (relating to handicapped) person with a disability (plate and placard).

Additionally, rabies vaccinations are required for all dogs over three months of age.

The maximum fine per violation of the licensing requirement and rabies law is $300.  Court costs may also be assessed.

Bark Park Classes

Dog Park Safety for You & Your Dog
To make our Bark Park as successful as possible, we wanted to offer area residents the opportunity to learn how. In these single-night seminars, we'll review how the dog park works and, by educating the owners in dog behaviors, we hope to reduce the number of problems. Owners will learn "Pet Etiquette", pet and people safety, socialization tips, basic obedience. Q&A and handouts will be provided. Class size is limited; no pets please. Click here to sign up. Puppy Preschool
Pet owners with puppies, ages 2-6 months old, will address play biting, crate training and house breaking issues. Each class will have a Question/Answer period, object socialization, pass the puppy/handling exercises and topic discussions such as grooming, first aid and dog park safety. Puppy graduates will receive a certificate. Class size is limited and all owners must provide proof of current immunizations and bring to the first class. Click here to sign up. Basic Obedience Training
Over 6 weeks, dogs 6 months to 1 year will learn commands such as Sit, Heel with automatic sit, Down, Come and formal stay. Obedience and problem behaviors will also be discussed. Old Dogs, New Beginnings
This is a Basic Obedience Class for dogs older than 1 year. Come and learn or improve some basic commands your dog should know, as well as address behavior issues to help make life with your dog more enjoyable. Pooper Scooper Ordinance

Ordinance #565 regulates animal defecation on public and private property and the disposal of animal feces. Pet owners are required to clean up after their animals, not only in the parks, but on all public and private property in the Township, or face a possible fine up to $1,000.
